Weak students motivated kindly

Hi,

I'm a Computer Engineer. After having excellent O/L and A/L results I entered the University of Moratuwa. There I studies in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. I graduated with great results.

Since then I have been working in the IT industry as a Software Engineer in some of the most popular IT multinationals in Sri Lanka. I have worked as a Lecturer in a popular IT campus. And I have worked at two International schools, as Head of IT in one and as a teacher in the other. I have been doing tuition for more than 13 years now.

I teach in an engaging manner. I'm a friendly teacher who doesn't make students feel uncomfortable. Students tend to like my classes. Because I advertise for weak students I have taught a lot of such students and I have made an improvement in nearly all the students I have taught. I have an impeccable understanding of the subjects and can teach in a manner a student of any level can understand.

I have studied Psychology and have self studied Study Psychology. I have taken a teacher training with a private organization which teaches students in the UK. I use teaching methods I have come across and also some teaching methods I have devised on my own.

I have taught students with learning difficulties such as ADD, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia. And I was able to improve those students. I can teach in a manner even such students can understand.

Because most of the students I teach come with very low grades I can't say that I have got an A for all the students I have taught. I have been able to improve students' grades by 30 - 70 marks at term tests and up 2 or 3 grades at O/Ls.

Because it's easier to make an improvement in a weak student when taught individually I only take individual classes. I visit homes within Colombo. The distance isn't a problem to me because it's a satisfaction to improve a student.

It's possible to make much bigger amounts of money in the IT industry. But I chose to do tuition because there's an immense satisfaction in helping a struggling student.

My charges are reasonable. There're other teachers who charge lower than us but because of my qualifications and background my charges are not the lowest in the area. But I charge a little lower than other tutors from my background.
